Hopefully not too long to read reviews... however if I'm being honest, I only care about reviews from people that own other high end DAPs or setups who can write up a coherent comparison (which is why I like project86's reviews). I'm sure they'll be lots of happy ears once the reviews come in, but I need to know how this compares to the iDevice + transport options haha. The fate of my purchasing decisions rests upon it!
 
The price even at $829 isn't bad - what's a 64GB iPod Touch + Fostex HP-P1, or CLAS + an amp: the same or more and this is being aimed at the same market. In fact it's probably why iBasso have done their own player rather than do a Fostex or Cypher Labs - selling the first batch of these will have made them more money than selling the same amount of an iDevice supporting equivalent at the same price due to the licensing etc.

They will be selling them to headfiers who get onto the preorder list for cheaper. Won't be as cheap as the 40 demo units but it will still be cheaper than $830.00. Just a little food for thought.

Peter, you don't understand, most people in China don't sleep at that hour, especially considered this is almost new year. So your option A really doesn't apply 

  However, what they do at that hour is an entirely different story.  But if you really want to know, send your DX100 over and I'll tell you and guaranty it's worth it

Only one comment from this person that posts the pictures and he said DX100 driving the HD600 is comparable to DB2/PB2 driving HD600.  If that is true, that is no small feast.

Edit: If anyone wants to be entertained (and realize it's time to actually learn Chinese) use Google Translate to try and read the Erji thread.  You will not even be close to what the actual posts mean...
 
Edit: I'm a pretty good detective though, good enough to tell that 95% of the posts are the community complaining about the low quality of the pictures, which our DX100 guinea pig has now taken down.

That sounds promising. I also ordered an O2 amp to go with DX100. Looking forward to how these two will pair.
