Don't forget you also have a good hand warmer while there :p.

That will be welcome. Guess I need another one!

I'm guilty of this lol
as a cure, I bought four of this to prevent it from happening again at the same time prevent dust from entering those 3.5mm ports

These are great, I've been looking for these for ages in the uk but can't find them anywhere, most have silly jewels attached to the end! I like the plain ones on the site you referenced, pity they don't seem to ship their goods. Guess I'll keep searching.

I just ordered these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-pack-3-5mm-Silicone-Audio-Headset-Port-Jack-and-Micro-USB-Anti-Dust-Cap-Cover-/380443936466?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D3220855452831502956%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D380443936466%26

Now I just need something for the 6.3mm port as I never use that one...

Good find! Just ordered a set. Found these http://www.cybermarket.co.uk/shop/connectors/jack-plugs-sockets/6-3mm-jack-plugs-sockets/neutrik-dust-cover-for-6-3mm-985934.html

Might be a bit bulky but I ordered a couple anyway, can always trim them.

Do you guys enable SRC?
I find the details, the soundstage, and clarity a little bit clearer when I SRC my songs from 16bit/44.1khz to 192khz.
But theoretically this will deteriorate the audio quality right ?
I am currently hesitating whether I should turn it on or not. Any ideas? (most of my songs in 16bit/44.1khz)

Moreover, do you guys use EQ off or EQ flat in firmware 1.2.7? (I found the bass more concrete under EQ flat, 6.3mm output, low-gain on my IEM :D)

Any chance I could have you pop one of those in an envelope to Denmark? Cybermarket wanted to charge me £6 for shipping one of those!

Edit: Nevermind; I got it from AudioSpares for £2.14 - plug and shipping.

Up or downsampling from the native recording will change the audio somewhat, but whether it is for the good or not is something that each user will likely have to determine for themselves. If it sounds better to you, then go for it!

This is strange. I haven't had that happen yet but I use to be able to replicate that on 1.1.7 by pausing the current song then using the orange scroll bar to restart the song. Then I'd turn the screen off and it would stop music playback when the screen was off and would continue when I turned it back on....

Hmm... You inspire me! This should be the cause because I remember everytime when it happens it's like I have scrolled the orange bar before. Thanks my friend :D

anyone currently using a JH13/16 CIEM or any BA CIEM excluding TogoMH334? since I updated the drivers to 1.2.7 my JH16 seems abit grainy on the upper mids to highs. I confirmed this by a/bing with some mastering music and compared it with EX1000 and Westone4.

I haven't noticed that with my Tralucents, MDR-7550s or IE80s. Bass has more impact and quantity. Also more texture. Treble is slightly more aggressive than before but its not in anyway fatiging to my ears. The bass also appears to make the mids that much more noticeable. It helps to make them stick out. The presentation makes for a very 3D sound. Did you do a factory restore once on 1.2.7? I highly recommend everyone do that to ensure 1.2.7s settings are all being used. Otherwise you could be carrying over some of 1.1.7 onto the player. If the sound isn't to your liking maybe go back to 1.1.7. I don't see there being any negatives with the sound at this point though...

But battery life does seem to be a bit compromised now that I think of it. I did the recommend 4 battery cycles to calibrate the batter. It now constantly shows 100 when fully charged instead of 99%. Problem is I did a test run on play all music and the battery only lasted 6 hours and 23 minutes. I'm not sure if having it on playall music is doing this as all the music is in the play directory which could be contributing to the drain since it has to access both the internal and external memory. The battery does seem to last slightly longer if I just select one playlist at a time and let it play though. I'll have to test some more to verify.

Ok thanks Lee ...I'll do the reset. Battery is not an issue for me, I just want to make this player sound right with my current iems.
