Hi folks
Pardon this post as I am writing this while laid out in bed.
Thanks for the info. The code points to two different lines for music time location. Oneis the "scrub" bar and the other is the button press. The iissue is that this "time-lapse" is based as the file is read on power on.
Eq- it is a very simple 2 dimension array which is stored in db file. Why they just don't leave the array in RAM for faster read is beyond me. each unique array, is tied to a central frequency and assigned a q value. I will have to test something out. The eq can be made to have more channels no problems (just add more arrays). In other words change it from a 7 channel parametric eq to say a 1/15 octave or 1/30 octave eq. The issue will be to draw them correctly on the real estate that it has. This of course is lower priority than the file search pop issue.

Not just that. Remember the fade in when manually changing tracks. That is like my biggest pet-peeve right now :p. Would be cool if you could also figure out what is allowing 1.2.3 to show album art so it can be applied to 1.1.7 :). Thanks figgie.

I think it would be nice though and probably would speed this along. Remember the Hifiman 901 is around the corner... Hopefully they reading this because I am on the fence about selling my unit and getting a 901 depending on how things pan out.

Add me to that list as sweet as DX100 sounds ,its aggravation/bad coding factor is becoming overwhelming . If another device sounds at least as
good and w/out all the problems ,im jumping ship .

Plz keep up your good work Figgie

After listening to some music last night , battery still
near 70% plus , the device wont power off

The screen has stopped  responding . I have been trying
many times through the night

DX100 still recognizes media i plug into micro usb etc , but
screen wont respond . I tried holding power button for an extended
time as my other android device will shut down that way if the
screen stops responding

What can i do here to fix this ?

i see a reset pinhole on the side of unit . Will this erase all internal data tho ? And send me way back
to original firmware .

Cheers

It doesn't erase data. Just reset it and you should be fine.

before I get neck deep in the coding.

I keep seeing like the preffered player is the one in 1.1.7 over 1.2.3?

is this correct? I have been focused on 1.2.3 so far but can go tro 1.1.7.

with that said,

was there anything that 1.1.6 did that 1.1.7 broke?

If you make the sound of the 1.2.3 as good as 1.1.7, then I think the other updates to 1.2.3 (like seeing the album pix) make the later release more desirable.
