Ibasso 1 bit Discrete portable DAC with Resistors Array D16

Tried again, on PC, everything is fine until I plug in the USB cable for iBasso charging
PC, tablet, mobile phone, iPad, same story.
But this is not happening with iBasso and Violectric V222
Now, who's the culprit? IBasso or iFi iCAN Pro Studio?
I forgot to mention something : When I use the PC, i connect the iBasso D16 to PC, from the iBasso USB C ( DAC). to PC - USB A. Everything ist fine and no noises.
As soon as I plug out the USB A from PC, noises.
That doesn't bother me much. Because I don't want to plug out the USB A from PC, while using it.
But, when I use the mobile phone or tablet, I connect the iBasso USB C to mobile phone / tablet / USB C
Without the charger connected to iBasso, is silent
As soon as I plug in the USB cable for powering iBasso, noises

You may also what to try using a small external battery back and see how that works! Good news: it will be lifted from ground. Bad news: depending on battery chemistry and regulator, may or may not provide the best DC power. Very battery dependent IME and I haven't found a great small, mobile battery pack. I use this, which is technically portable, but not really... I use this thing to power all my desktop electronics and unplug it from the wall when listening to music, and plug it back in to charge. I think the battery is LiFEPO4, so low output impedance 12 V battery driving the regulators that provide 5V DC via the USB out.

This can be used:

Just unplug it from main when listen to music

How many hours do you get with that? What do you power it with other than the D16?

I don`t use the LHY with my D16, I use it with my FMC.

With my D16 I use this:

Hi Torben
Looking at your picture - are you using upscaling software like Audirvana or HQPLAYER?

Hi @FooFighter

I use Roon:

Hi @TRHH - I'm an upsampler as well and am curious about this DAC!

What are your impressions of the D16 with upsampling? I usually do PCM upsampling, but may also want a platform for DSD upsampling... have you dabbled with the latter?

Would love any of your perspectives.

Hi @taipan254

I use "max sample rate (PCM) conversion" in Roon on the different systems that I have. I do have some DSD albums, but don't do any upsampling with them.

The D16 handles everything just super - very happy with the device.

This is my headphone setup:

Very snug, excellent fit. Not even wiggle room
