I just completed my D16 charging test. I had my D16 on from 11 am to 11:45 pm. I left my usb C charging cable attached to the D16 the entire time. My battery meter indicator was showing that the batts were charging, and the blue LED next to my charging port was ON.
At around 12:30 pm, the battery meter showed that I had a full charge as indicated below, and my blue charging indicator turned OFF.
For the rest of the day and evening, the battery display never changed, and my charging indicator never turned back on.
At 11:45 pm, I decided to disconnect my charging cable, and the battery indicator changed from a solid, filled section to a 3 segmented indicator, still showing I had a full charge. My batteries had not discharged one bit.
So, apparently, even though my charging indicator (Blue LED) had turned off at 12:30 pm, the D16 must have still been utilizing the power from the DC charging cable.
For the D16 owners who are saying that their battery is discharging while the usb c charging cable is connected to their D16’s, the answer could possibly be that the charging cable was inserted into the usb c digital input instead of the usb c charging input….but this could only happen if a D16 owner was using the coax/optical input for data and maybe mistakenly inserted their charging cable into the usb c data input….just food for thought.
