I've been reading about sound signatures and I don't really know what they sound like. Can you do a quick description and the strengths and weaknesses of the types? I just want to know so I know what I'm looking for.
Okay, you know what, ignore than. I read a thread in the IEM section and it covered it perfectly fine.
So I guess something with great instrument separation, dynamic (great bass, mids, and highs), and comfortable to wear.
Amp/DAC, just something that can drive it and make it sound awesome.
So top dog is AH-D2000 and HFI 580 is close. Got it. I get the feeling that the AH-D2000's are the perfect headphones. I think I might be set.
Well, the sales pop of everywhere. The latency between each is kind of short so I should be able to grab some for $200-$250 and if I can't find it at that price when I want to buy it I'll just call J&R.
Are those two the best you would recommend for a portable/small rig? Well, not really portable since I would need a USB battery pack for that. But anyways, the digiZoid Z02 seems promising although some people get some bad ones but that can be fixed with a simple RMA. Unless these two outperform that. And I'm aware that it's only an amp but with the ability to somehow extend the frequency range or something.
No, I just read it wrong.
At the top of my list right now.
What is the best amp/dac or the both separate at the $200 and the $400 range right now? Doesn't need to be portable or small.
