You can also trim the resistors with another high-value resistor
in parallel to improve the accuracy.

That's indeed what the datasheet suggests. For it to work without trimming, you'd need perfectly matched voltage references inside the lm317 and the lm337. As the reference voltage can be in between 1.2 and 1.3V, you certainly need some trimming.
 
I've got 65mm/54mm still free on my panel.. any suggestion ? An output protection kinda like the epsilon12 ?
