Check out Yoga.com.tw and EQUATION AUDIO :: Beyond Equal

I bought some Yogas when I was at the IFA (European match to the CES) 2007 in Berlin. One of them was the CD-90.
When I first saw the Equatin headphones I felt a bit of a deja-vu but I wasn't able to put my finger on it.
Now, because of recent events, I had to get my Yogas out of the closet and just a little later realization hit me like the fist of an angry god: these are the Equations headphones, only slightly different in Design.

The reason I'm telling you this is maybe there is chance to get the original Yoga phones instead of the Equation and safe a lot of money? (If you aren't after the Design, of course.)

What do you think? Anyone familiar with the Asian market?

If by "only slightly different in design" you mean that only the headband assembly is similar . . .

The discontinued EP.3070 was the CD-80 (I have it listes in my catalog). It only differs in the labeling. Unfortunately Yoga has the Photo of the CD-87 for the CD-85 on their page. But I have a pic in the catalog.

The RP-15MC is the CD-87. Only differs in Color and the "dome"-shaped cover / suspension.

The RP.21 is a CD-90 with CD-100 covers and the Equation label on it + color.

The Covers are "clicked" in and thus interchangeable fast and easy.

The RP-22X is most probably a CD-95 also with slight differences.

Look at the overall construction of the RP-10 an then tell me it's not this headset without the mic:

And look, where the "Equation color scheme" comes from:

Yoga is a OEM manufacturer. They are the manufacturers of the parts just in case you wanted to tell me that the headbands are bought from a another company - nope, they aren't. (You can see the necessary machines on their website.)

And if all that didn't convince you (I can scan the catalog for the CD-85!) then have a look at the technical data. It's absolutely the same for each of the headphones compared. And, seriously, which company has an impedance information with a useless percentage info?

Yoga does produce for the local market also and I guess it's much cheaper also. That's how I came to the idea...
