I was just wondering what would be a nice upgrade from my panasonic htf600's, the pannys are amazing in every aspect apart from build quialty and leaking, the biggest problem for me is there build quality - im afraid im not going to be investing in them again

Can someone suggest a new pair of headphones for me around the £100 price bracket ?

i would love ones that wont leak much

so far i have considered the sony-xb700 - people say they leak less than the 500s and have more clarified mids and highs

so basiicaly, could someone please recommend the best headphones for me =)

Thanks in advance

Is that about $160 USD? I would pick up a pair of Beyer dt770's. The have amazing build quality. It's hard to beat good German engineering-think BMW. They will have plenty of sub bass and sparkle to the treble.

The other hp to look at would be the d2k...

+1 on the DT770 and D2K-used probably

The Ultrasone HFi line might interest you. Specifically the 580's and the 780's.

580's= tons of bass but without loosing quality.

780's= overall pretty balanced. Not as bassy as the 580's but the bass is of better quality.

Both cans are very clear sounding, especially the 780's, and have a pretty good sound stage.

Thanks for the reply guys,
im finding the xb700's for GBP 62 - brand new delivered

would it actually be a drasatic difference if compared to the  dt770's / ultrasone 580's

is it actually worth dishing £50

Yes, it's a different class of hp. The Beyer and denon has quality sound top to bottom. The Sony is a bass can. Every song...lot's of bass.

It hits low hits lots of punch. Kinda what it's know for. Only thing that hits harder it the d2k, but it's bigger, heavier and less isolating. Still great though.

Those Panasonic RP-HTF600-S are really good for the price and it's only $20 to add Velour ear pads (Beyerdynamic EDT 300 Velour ear pads).
Why not just buy two more HTF600s, if one breaks, just open the next box.
