I'll try to keep this succinct.
Not long ago I noticed a small crackling on the right side while listening to very low frequencies. I foolishly decided to open up the headphones to see if perhaps a hair had fallen onto the driver and was causing the imperfection. Upon putting the headphone back together my right side no longer produces any sound. Nothing. I inspected the headphones but could not find the source of the issue.
I feel that I ought to send them to AKG for repair, but I do not currently have the means to do so - as I imagine the repairs would cost many hundreds of dollars. Are the headphones still valuable in this state? Is there anyone who would be interested in purchasing them in this state? Any other advice would be appreciated. I feel that it's a terrible shame that they're sitting unused in their box.
