The comfort seems alright for my ears and it fits quite well.
In terms of bass, what I did was remove the little sponge "filter" at the bore of the earpiece and in doing so this made the bass deeper and more impactful. 
However, i think its greatest strength is in the massive soundstage that it can produce and I find the timbre really good too!

The Sennis were as comfortable as any I've used. Soudnwise mine are 280ish in signature but heavier on the bottom end. If you can get a set to listen to it may be worthwhile checking them out.

I just got told they are not as comfortable because the material used (metal) makes them too heavy on the ears after a while ...

I find that extremely odd. They are not that heavy.
