When I posted a thread on I-Doser's forum a few months back about it being a rip-off and there being a free alternative it was (not surprisingly) deleted immediately.

Maybe it will do some more use said here: those sounds will not get you stoned or any other drugged state. What they can do is induce some altered states of consciousness if you allow them to (with a lot of patience and practice), such as deep relaxation or hightened alert etc.

In any case, it's an absolute rip-off to charge by the "dose", even more so considering everything I-Doser can do, bwgen can do, but free. See http://www.bwgen.com.

Honestly I think this is really wrong. Drugs are illegal because feeling good is illegal. Just because you're not ingesting a substance does not mean that feeling good is suddenly okay. It's not.

lmao, well said

Jeez, this thread took me back to the wild times I had in college in the sixties. We used to have these amazing parties -- us guys from the John Birch Society would meet up with the dudes from the MBA program in the Skull and Crossbones Club Library after lunch. Some Fridays, we'd sniff solvents, drink port and listen to Nancy Sinatra lps until the mahogany wainscoting evaporated.

Im not kidding, supposedly there is a website (http://i-doser.com/) which creates sound waves which are supposed to emulate the feeling of certain drugs.

If someone with a nice pair of headphones (says so in the FAQ, must have hiugh quality headphones) can try this and see it if works.

EDIT: It was previously unknown to me you need to have the .wav or .drg files to actually experience anything as the transcoded mp3s lose the key frequencies. Below is the i-doser player and .drg files, no installation neccessary, just unzip/unrar. READ THE FAQ BEFORE STARTING!

Im trying Cocaine with my FX33's and seeing no result... Im going to lay down and try.

FAQ from the website:
Several steps can be taken to maximize the potential of an I-Doser dose. We at I-Doser actually consider this essential to the dosing experience. First, set a serene mood. It is recommended that you administrate the dose while lying down in a dim-lit room in solitude without any noisy distractions. No interruptions, no phone ringing, nothing! It should be you and the dose. It is advisable that you use a pair of high quality headphones.

Headphones are REQUIRED. Simply playing your dose through your computer or laptop speakers will have no effect. Binaural beats need to travel in separate tones through each isolated ear at the same time. This is not possible through speakers

I have 'digital drug'. A bianural CD.. I think there is some truth to the effects it claimed..But all mild.. But it great for meditation sessions..

Music inducing an "Altered State of Consciousness" both with or without mind altering substances, has been practiced throughout recorded history (punny ain't it).

I think we only need different kinds of test tones to evaluate if our gear is good or not. Music makes you feel good and that is bad - make music illegal NOW!

I think even test tones are dubious and we should only be allowed to evaluate our gear using frequency response graphs.

Well thx for the info op. It lead me to this program, which I began using last night. While I was listening to the "IQ / Intelligence Increase [Comprehensive]" brainwave training track, the left earcup disappeared, and my left ear felt like breeze was blowing onto it. LoL. I got scared, but decided to carry on. Other than that, I'm not quite sure that it has improved my "intelligence" just yet, but after I used the i-doser proggy to help my concentration, I DID notice I was able to concentrate a bit better. So I'm going to try out Neuro-Programmer for the whole trial, and if it really helps, I might buy it

Have any of you seen the current issue of Make magazine? Cover article is about DIY a device to get the right brainwave patterns for similar feelings. It uses sound and light flashes.

I haven't read the article in detail yet, so don't know much more than that.
