I want to explore the polar ice cap with it.

When you think about, I guess it would be kind of boring. Save surfacing to charge the batteries what else is there to do?

There is one thing: you could stalk solo circumnavigators. You know those extremist who sale around the world solo. I'd find one. Day after day, month after month I'd randomly surface about 1000yds. of his stern, never making contact. I'd turn his introspective journey into a real mystery. That would drive me nuts.

I didn't want this to get political, but attacking Canada is obviously what anyone with a private submarine would do first.

I don't think you'd want to go under the polar cap with this thing, it's a diesel. So you kinda need to surface now and then to charge the batteries.

Yes, it's a hybrid, even though it doesn't really have a regenerative braking system.
