i just bought a lightly used PPX3 with Solen 1 power upgrade! i can't wait for it to arrive! the best thing is that i'm able to keep my Corda, as a convergence of funds hit at just the right time. you can never have too many amps, i would say

I think the PPX3 has a very powerful sound (perhaps lacking a little in refinement - bass hits more like a sledgehammer rather than a scalpel) along with a full bodied tonality.

To me, it seems to better complement amplified music rather than naturally recorded acoustic music (again, to me it seems to add just a little unnatural pace and energy that is only really noticeable on simply recorded acoustic music; it actually works really really well with amplified and more energetic types of music).

fine by me. if i find that the case, i can switch to my corda, which i find to work VERY well for acoustic music.

oh, hell yeah, you'd better believe it! we should have a little mini meet. there are enough people around to have one before the Singlepower East meet

Congrats on joining Team Singlepower, I hope you will take care of my baby, I don't want to let it go, but I just can't keep two amps. The next thing on your list will be a lot of tube rolling. Anyways, let us know what you think of the amp when it arrive.

Congrats! That's a very good team to be on! The Meastro ZR has become one of my farorite amps (along with the old-style SDS). Have fun tube rolling!
