Sol_Zhen,

I'm probably going to keep the HD600s to use as a good second pair of phones. Also, my friend composes his own music and wants an EXCELLENT setup for mixing (he wants to create audiophile techno, believe it or not). He is currently considering buying my sennheisers off of me and getting a headroom home or cosmic amp to drive them.

One thing is for sure: You will find lots of great deals from other people selling the HD600s in the for sale forum, especially the infamous HD600/cardas combo, which is one of the hallmarks in audio today if you have a good source and amp.

Cheers,
Geek

You don't carry it alone... Jude and others have given the thumbs up as well, and clearly Sennheiser set out to make an improvement in the first place (the biggest burden is on them and their reputation, after all). I don't see any reason to doubt that the HD650 is a solid improvement.

If these phones don't turn out well, I'll just return them and get K1000s. . .

or I could just have both. . .

darn it's happening again.
