Hi Head-Fiers,

I am still a little confused. I listen to music on my laptop and have

http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/sound-cards/audio-advantage-amigo-ii.aspx

I listen via these USB soundcard.

I am planning to get my first set of audiophile cans. Maybe the AKG M50 or Denon AH-D1100.

I need to know whether a portable DAC or Amp will be needed to bring my listening experience to another level?

Or is the current USB Turtlebeach Sound Card good enough ? I don't want to spend and then realize there is not much of difference.

Do these USB Turtlebeach Sound Card act an a DAC or and Amp or Both ?

Will it make a whole world of difference if I get Fiio E6/E7 to this setup?

If yes, then which model of Fiio should I get?

Thanks lots mates.

The Turtle Beach Amigo would have to have a DAC (cheap DAC?) inside it to do what it does.

The AKG ATH-M50 and Denon AH-D1100 are not demanding headphones
But the Fiio E7 or E10 should improve the audio quality over the Turtle Beach Amigo
The DAC in the E7 & E10 should be way better then the laptops or the Amigo
