In the interests of transparancy I should mention my alltime favourite:
The Waterboys - This is the Sea
I must agree though picking one is darn difficult, to leave out other favourites like Eugene Istomins' Mozart Concertos on Reference Recordings or Mingus -Ah Um to name but a few seems almost a sin
