I've not heard the dt990 pro but if you can stretch your budget a little, try and listen to the Audeze LCD2 Closed-Back... as @elisiX posted, the sound signature of Audeze might be what you are looking for.

i am very happy with the dt990 pro in all these genres dubstep, drum and bass, future bass, trance, house, deep house and etc and the bass i like it..

the dt990 pro have good bass but not the best,, noone headphone #in the market are have everything..
