Red, are you referring to Les Paul guitars or LP vinyl? Because, you know, it IS a guitar amplifier and not a speaker amplifier.

Not a bedroom amp, that is for sure
I have the Trem-O-Verb combo which half the tubes are pulled out, and it is still way too loud.

Oh Lord! I'd need a new higher output circuit in my house to handle all those filaments!
That is a Gem! Hell; it's an entire Jewelery Box full!
Shucks; I'm only looking at three little tubes for the amp for my Gretsch!

Nice stack! I've always liked that Mesa uses tube rectification. It just sounds better than diodes.
Now, all you need are some non-overdriven tubes for your headphones.

Not a huge singlecut fan (I am just a sucker for superstrat designs), but I have been eying a few Agile LPs lately. Supreme bang for buck. Maybe I'll snag one....when I recover from buying this Mesa

Definitely not a bedroom amp, especially with the stock tubes. With the stock tubes, anything below 9oclock on the master sounded fizzy, buzzy, and just terrible (and 9oclock is already way way too loud for bedroom use). After I retubed with JJ ECC83s and E34Ls, a lot of that low volume fuzz went away, and the amp is more usable at low volumes now. Try some JJ tubes in that tremoverb!

I love the tube rectification for leads and cleans-they add a smooth, sustaining character to the tone-really makes the amp sing! However, for any sort of rhythm play I find them unsuitable. They are just too loose and flubby in the low end.

More into Dream Theater and other prog/math bands myself. This rectifier nails the tone that Petrucci had on Train of Thought, too.

Thanks! The Ibanez is nothing too fancy, just a MIJ mid 90s model, but the amp really is something else. Unfortunately I'm already thinking about downgrading to the 50w Rectoverb, as this 150w Triple is just far too loud and I haven't even come close to taking advantage of the extra headroom provided (I haven't even been able to turn the master volume up past 9oclock-it's already ear splittingly loud at that volume!)
