My 4 favorite headphones that I've got to own/try are the HyperX Cloud Revolver S (On sale for $50, love the soundstage on them), the HyperX Cloud Orbit S (Love them with my cellphone/and VR), Bose QCII for ANC, and last but not least my Hifiman Sundara, all great headphones I would use for different things/feelings. It really depends on what you're looking for in a headphone.

I would suggest Hifiman He6se V2 as a very solid contender (currently 549$ at Adorama with the special link on reddit). If you have a solid amplification (or even better a speaker amp) it is really something else in term of details and slam. If you want something easier to drive, I would go with the Elex (700$ on Drop). Focal headphones have great dynamics and the Elex is a great value proposition imo.
