lol. i knew that would happen. people are going to start thinking i built some frankenstein they must hear. it is ok, it's not incredible. that was the whole point. it does not have me concentrating on equipment instead of music. quite frankly i think the stock k240s or ksc75 can serve that end.

anyhow everyone, thanks for the encouragement. i don't feel alone now. which makes me feel a lot better. like i said, i thought i would get cursed out of here for this. instead i now feel reassured of my own intuition.

i am figuring out how to twist the end cap off the k740 right now. for recable of course. where is that darn bobbie pin now. haha.

Unlike many here,I simply dont make enough money to splurge on equipment-especially,the higher end stuff.I have three pairs of headphones each costing no more than $200 dollars.The fifty dollar pair and the $200 amp is more than enough.As well,I have one other amp that was $500, that I slightly modified.I enjoy them immensly and never live in denial wanting more.I enjoy both setups to the fullest extent.

For me,once I obtained this:I still enjoyed my tunes regardless of the before and after.It's good to see that some of the simpler things can bring pleasure as in moderate priced gear vs. the high end stuff.I've never heard the gourmet equipment and I'm sure it can add a new plateau to the sound.Happy listening
