I Basso HDP R 10 is IBasso DX 100 Japan Version impressions thread

Truth be told I never did till today. I took my iBasso hp2 or what it's called with me and the jh16 non FP and there was a difference in the overall detail and the bass was deeper to.
It was noticeable as soon as I turned it on. I did a quick ab before I left with the combo. I have two portible amps and really do not use them so I figured what do I have to loose to try it. I was surprised at the improvement and it made feel better to not have to buy a new dap to get it. Tomorrow I will try the other amp I have it's the one from alo the mkii3b I think it hissis low until the music starts and then goes away. But it a really detailed Mp as well. The iBasso have all those extra chips to play with too. So I figure it's time to play.
Now keep in mind the jh16 are the hardest to drive and the most annoying when it is not right as well. Overall enjoy that dap . It's two years old and I think it's still top shelf.

I read from a reliable source that the R10 is selling well for one, many prefer it to the new Sony because the sound of the R10 is better. Appears to be holding up to the test of time.

Wow that is good news. As I use it with an amp it really is fantastic. I do not beleave there is more to have with IEM,s.

And going portable it's just really good . My only issue is the bulk of it.

It's posted a few pages back 9.03 and 8.03. Use 8.03 it's the striped down version. And when you update you cannot go back down.

I prefer the 8.03 as well.

9.03 seemed to be to much of a system hog. Got freeze ups with it.

9.03 is with google play. I suggest that you wait a bit more for dx90. The price might go down even more after newer product is released.

Ok then I will wait and see the release of DX90.

What does Google Play Store provides? I thought there was no music app that can play high res files so you gotta use the Hibino Player for high res files.

Dx50. As much as I like iBasso I would not buy a dap from them. To me and this is just my opinion the dx100. Was basically a cruel joke played on people. From the day of release they just kept on changing the firmwares. And as they did I the sound chNged as well. Not cool. How are we We to know just how it should sound. The hibino one kwas made totally different. And only made 3 changes and nod none of them effected the sound. It was released with 8.0. It had all the stuff iBasso had google play and all. Then quickly 8.02 this removed all,the stuff. And now this last one. As it was supposed to help with the pop. Now the new release of dx50 is this all over again. I will not buy a work in progress .

This is on my radar as well, considering the price is dropping. The question is how much is the SQ difference compared to DX90. I hope we can find out soon.

True. That is why 8.0.3 is better. No nonsense player. Nothing but music player app.

Probably very close.. hence the name DX90. The amp section probably won't be as powerful as DX100/R10, but most likely will be more than enough for IEM and efficient can. One thing I like the most about R10 is the amp section in high gain, it's just so good, it drives everything with authority, from my Custom IEM to Mad Dog 3.2 Alpha.

It's fine with all the cans except the HE6

But most all other cans are fine.
Just none of the hi power required cans
