I have an offer of used R10 (bought in 2012) to be ~$500. Should I go for that?
It seems like R10 has been discontinued, is it true?
Thank guys.

Yes it's discontinued. $500 is a great price for an excellent player. You may have to replace the battery, that seems to be the part that wears down quickest.

I'm new here from Hong Kong, using UM50pro + Wihplash TWAG v3 in mid gain via 6.3mm jack to my R10

Updated the Russian firmware and I am truly impressed by the performance.
It seems added some bass power and overall clarity, the UI is much responsive now!

Cheers!

no, u can't charge the internal battery via usb port

when u plug the external battery via usb to R10, the device will start using the battery from the usb port.

there is no charging indicator to show on the battery icon.

Get it?

I have checked with seller, unfortunately, only the body. I wonder, can HDP-R10 charge via USB?

You can charge from a USB port by using the adapter to the charging pin:

It works very well (charging voltage is 5V in HDP-R10).

did anyone tried updating from fw 8.0.2 to russian fw that was mention a few pages ago? i cannot seem to update due to error on claiming file wasnt up to date. However manually edit and checking the file , proves otherwise, that drivers are all up to date. scratching my head on this.

I was using the Russian FW since it was out.

I simply put the file into a micro sd and press yes to the prompt when the R10 detected the file just like the official FW

EDIT,

i just manage to upgrade. i simply drag the update.img file to my r10.

MOST IMPORTANT STEP,

you must reverse the hierarchy. Make sure the update.img is the first icon, file among the rest.

after you "turn off usb"it will prompt you to upgrade, else restart it, and bam, problem solved!!

I would like to thank piotrekfonc for helping me along the way.

R10 / DX100 SOUND EXPLOSION IEM EDITION BY DOC2008

- from SE V2.1.1 firmware differs only sound - I did not like the sound of version 2.1.1 (which I was happy with all Denon 5000) on my new Earsonics SM3 v2. with this firmware gag listen IMHO was much nicer (in my earplugs sound plague ) - for full-size headphones are not particularly test - without thinking quite normal - Installation: put on the R10 as a normal firmware on the DX100 with the native firmware - instruction in the header. after installing the conventional way of doing factory reset. when you install from the computer reset to do. DOWNLOAD

Hey there is an updated version of Russian FW on 5/2/15 for IEM!

I'm trying this now!
