If I play Hybrid SACD's in a regular cdp will the output be in 20/96 of the regular 16/44?

If so, are HDCD's the only type of media that can be played via a regular cdp to achieve 20/96 output?

For what it's worth, the SACD layer is actually not in 20/96 or 24/96 either. They are actually 1bit/2.8224Mhz.

You need a CD player that decodes HDCD to get 20 bit material. Regular CD players will only get 16 bits from a HDCD disc.

2) Where did HDCD's come from all of sudden? Your first question was regarding Hybrid SACDs, and not HDCD's. They are two different formats.
