I’m a bit confused re src-dx. This is from latest manual. It appears with only one bnc cable and 44.1 in then max mscaler output is 352.8. If 2 cables are used then max output is 705. @Triode User , what us your take. 2 cables may be required?
Only one bnc cable is required between the src-dx Bnc output and the mscaler Bnc input to achieve 705 and 768 dual bnc output from the mscaler.

eg, 44.1 input x 16 = 705.6 output.

The dual bnc output from the src-dx does not kick in until it is fed either 705 or 768 via the usb input.

Is the manual wrong then? See above... it shows 44.1k in, single bnc in, 3852k out with white light. @Rob Watts can you chime in if necessary?

Chord manuals are always extremely confusing.
The sample rates under the columns Single BNC & Optical refers to the HMS Single BNC OUTPUT & Optical OUTPUT, not Input.
All the questions being asked are about using a Single BNC input with SRC-DX or using the Optical input.

Part of the challenge I have to admit is that if you cover every single possible scenario, you probably have to turn that little graph to cover 4-8 pages.

That page covers every scenerio, just wrongly in some cases. My findings are src-dx, one cable, 44.1/48/96/192 in : output, white, 705/768. Dual cable same as before except 705/768 in : output, white, 705/768.

This sooo typical of hi end audio equipment where technical details are left out so comparisons with other equipment are difficult. It’s the cult of golden ear. You mileage WILL vary.

That chart probably makes sense to the person who created it (sorry @Rob Watts if it was you) but I personally think it has cause more confusion than just about anything else over the years. It needs a few more headers to explain which cells refer to input and which refer to output.

It is however 100% certain that if you input 44.1 on a single cable bnc input to the mscaler on full scaling you will get 705.6 output on the dual bnc from the Mscaler.

Correct on the 44.1 > 705.6 on dual BNC. That chart though was nothing to do with me - manuals come from Chord.

So.... I believe I've found a 'work around' for the humming between the TT2 and LCD-5. Locate a good quality phono cable. Plug one end into the TT2 White Phono socket. Important.... Plug the other end into an available phono plug of an audio item that is properly grounded. This should work OK.

The hum 'may' move along the line of audio products. If you now touch the MScaler it may hum. But.... it's rare that it is physically handled on a regular basis. At least one can enjoy the TT2 and MScaler without any humming going on.

I've got my TT2/MScaler connected to an SRC-DX via dual BNC and being fed from a Fiio M17 DAC via USB. Setting on MScaler at MAX. Input signal is 192 from the M17 and out at the TT2 at 768.

Looking good but there is no advantage having two bnc cables from the src-dx when its input is only 192. The second cable from the src-dx to the mscaler is not carrying any signal at that sampling frequency.

Yes. Understood. It's connected so as when I decide to use my laptop to supply upscaled music it's connected and ready. Just a swap of USB connection rather than fiddling about behind the Chord units again.
