the zenith on its own is terrific....you can get one now for a good price and the new 2.0 update is an improvement...the phoenix makes it even better but it is great in its own

I had a Zenith Mk3 and Phoenix and the PhoenixUSB is a bigger improvement than the Zenith Mk3 (which is more subtle).

I have a Antipodes K50 now, and to my surprise, the Phoenix USB even makes the K50 sound better. I had planned on selling the Phoenix when I got the K50, as I didn’t think it would add anything. However, it does.

I am with you guys on the PhoenixUSB which I now also use with my K50. An even bigger surprise was the PhoenixNET which promptly replaced my EtherRegen having compared the two side by side.

Although I now use the SRC-DX to feed BNC to my Mscaler/Dave I still find that even that benefits from using the PhoenixUSB.

Guys, just hooked up two Ferrum hypsos power supplies to the tt2 and m scaler, great piece of kit.
Have you tried playing with the voltage levels into either device? I’m curious if you experience any difference when going up or down in voltage.

Could you post a picture of what the rig looks like now? Just wondering extra space involved. Thank you.

Well, holy chat. I wish you all would try the super cheap XDuoo X10t II I've been using for the past year. Amazing SQ for nothing at all. Why use the super pricey servers of today? XD output, please try it.

All going well an mscaler will be added to my dave next month. I continue to use my now classic oppo pm1 headphone with excellent SQ and comfort. As a source i'll keep things simple by using a new m1 macbook air powered by a powerbank as a roon bridge on wifi. The macbook air will be connected to the mscaler by a simple usb certified cable and once the music starts playing i can forget all about it.

My core is on a 2019 4k imac 21.5 inch for UI. With the addition of a new headphone and wave stream cables over the next year or so and possibly fine tuning my olson electronics power strip i will have reached the end of a 9 to 10 year journey. I started with a Chinese yulong u100 usb dac and akg 550 headphones (both pictured below) in 2012. Chord gives me the sweetest taboo as Sade says.

When playing 44khz 16 bit files with roon on my imac core in audio midi set up dave settings show the sample rate 44khz correctly but displays 2ch 32 bit. Should this be 16 bit as is the native roon file? With a 96khz 24 bit qobuz track played in roon again i get the correct sample rate but still showing 32 bit 2ch in audio midi set up on my imac core connected to dave by usb. Any thoughts? Exclusive mode is on.

A roon user has confirmed the mac audio settings are completely bypassed.

The better the streamer’s output the better the effect the re-clocker should have. Conversely there’s not much point using the re-clocker with noisy/jittery source. The k50 is an awesome bit of kit. Congrats! :)

Surely the better the streamer‘s output the LESS the effect the re-clocker should have? And the better the input to the DAC the LESS effect also.

teknorob23, when I talked to one Drew Baird‘s staff at Moon Audio, he suggested that I should wait until I get a decent router like this one before I even think about reclockers, passive Ethernet filters, or a boutique USB cable for my ROON Nucleus music streamer. https://www.cloudwifiworks.com/MX64W.asp?utm_term=meraki mx64w&utm_campaign=Meraki+*226&utm_source=adwords&utm_medium=ppc&hsa_tgt=kwd-82741987791&hsa_grp=18446674861&hsa_src=g&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_mt=p&hsa_ver=3&hsa_ad=69682706581&hsa_acc=9041622380&hsa_kw=meraki mx64w&hsa_cam=67276981&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8pGj8ZOy8gIVmbrICh3Z5AATEAAYAiAAEgJJ5_D_BwE. What do you think?
