Hi,

I seen a Grado HP1000 on Ebay in very nice conditions but I am in doubt if the drivers are original:

Grado HP-2 HP-1000 Vintage Headphones - Ultra High End su eBay.it Parts Accessories, Vintage Electronics, Electronics

As you can see on these cans sold recently on Head-Fi the chassis of the drivers is metallic where on the Ebay auction is plastic.

What do you think about my doubts?

Cheers,Angelo.

I'd say those are legit, but wouldn't bet my right hand on that

Yea I saw those too. Messaged him for shipping to Canada, and he said only UPS. Which means I'd could possibly get f&*$ed on import duties. They are nice looking, and if you can go through unkamartin and get Joe Grado to restore them (I'd assume you'd have that kind of cash if you are gonna shell out for HP2s) then they'd be a VERY special set of phones

Do not buy from him if you are a Canadian and he ships with UPS. UPS always charges a ridiculous brokerage fee on top of the shipping you've already paid.
USPS is the only way to go for us Canadians.
