HP Amp for DT-1990

I’m using the A20 with my DT1990 and am very happy with it. My take is that headphone amp and headphones from the same manufacturer will most likely compliment each other, and to my ears, in this case, they certainly do.

That’s the beauty of this hobby - so many options! In the end it’s all down to our ears and our wallet. DT1990 seems to be very adaptable, they sound lovely from most headphone sockets I have at home. Only ARCAM irDac/rHead combo I used to have made them sound too harsh in their highs. When I was researching where to progress from the ARCAM combo, Musical Fidelity MX series was on my radar, their MX-HPA headphone amp looks good and within your budget. Enjoy the selection process and curious to see what you’ll go for in the end.
