Maybe you're shocked by this title , yes , it looks so ridiculous , but I just want to only talk about their bass. So which one have more bass ?
And many people mentioned "burn in ", then after burn in , did SRH840 just sound like another headphone?
At last another ridiculous question :how's SRH840 compare to px200, is SRH840 just a upgrade version of px200 or they are in different levels ?
(All of above :Straight outta an Ipod classic , no amp )

Unamped I think you'd find the 440 to sound better...and both the 440 and 840 are in my opinion a big upgrade over the PX100.

I have got all the cans you mentioned in my vicinity. If portability isn't much of an issue, 840s win by a fair margin . I haven't got 440s though. All these were driven straight out of an iPod. Another can that comes close to that would be 780.

So you mean Srh840 got stronger bass ?

Your question isn't the right one. You can get loud bass from cheap headphones, but it'd be distorted, lacking texture, and obscuring.

So ask yourself, are you looking for loud bass (which adds fake noise to recordings) or quality bass?

Yup! Nice depth, great texture and outstanding presentation.

PX100 will sound bassier, only because it's a pretty dark-sounding headphone. The bass will shadow over the the rest of the sound spectrum. SRH840s are much more balanced, so bass won't overshadow the mids and highs.

PX 200 is possibly one of the worst pair of headphones I've come across. I would take PX 100 over 200 any day. 840s are in a completely different league. You're not getting the actual picture.

What? If this is the case, I'm not sure you'll be pleased with the Shures at all. PX200 is anything but balanced, and it's hard to imagine why anyone would say that they've got very little bass. Perhaps you're looking for mini-subwoofers? Not a bad idea, really. We should start a, "which headphone is most like a pair of subwoofers" thread. The bassheads should chip in.
