How would this DAC work with my LD MK III and HD650s?

Whoa... you have an LD MK III, and HD 650's you say - well, at the end of the month Little Dot is releasing their companion to to the LD MKIII - the LD DAC 1 - perfect match for your amp, looks great and boasts some fine specs. Cost is same as your amp.

I don't think you can rock out with your guitar using the MIDI interface. MIDI doesn't transmit actual audio data. It transmits instructions to and from synthesizers and instruments. (very crappy and simple explanation

This would be a good option for you, too: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f43/fs...sb-dac-420743/

It may not be the ultimate in resolution, but I've been playing around with one of Dave's cheaper, older, simpler units, and I've been really impressed. This looks to be very good value for the money.

Oh! Oh! One more!

This guy is selling both a Keces USB DAC (which seems to be the equivalent of the DA-151) and a Little Dot MK-III! If you haven't already purchased the Little Dot, you might be able to work a deal with him.
