Hello friends, I have been using a pair of Sennheiser HD 555's for around 2 years and tonight the right side headphone stopped working. I opened it up and was playing around with all the wires...I got it working, put back on all the casing, but it turned off when I put it on my head. Took everything apart again and can not get it to work anymore. I was going to buy the replacement cable but it would be a waste if the driver itself was broken. Is there any way to tell if its the cable or the driver that need replacing? Thanks for the help.

Yes.  Do you have a DMM?  Use it to check for continuity.  You can find them for $5 at Harbor Freight.

Most likely, you have a bad solder joint inside the cup.  Touch it up with a soldering iron and it'll be like new.
