These tangle literally (after) every time I use them. Is there a trick to not tangling them? I know I could carefully roll them around my fingers but I might not want to do that e.g. if listening before sleeping or rushing out? Thanks. 16348800191741872715298070265403.jpg

Go wireless. No tangles. No taking your player out to pause and stuff. :)

What I do: Wrap cable around fingers, place in clamshell with plug on the side of the roll, same side of the clamshell every time. Then when I zip open clamshell, I always pull plug from that side. Stops 90% of my tangles. Have an orientation for the zipper when you open it to know which side is which. Or a mark on the outside. Or the mesh pocket on the inside. Or...

In my experience those types of tightly braided cables tend to be very kink prone.

You can try is an "over-under" cable wrap technique- a couple bigger loops if it's just to quickly set the iem down- but once you get the hang of it it doesn't take more than a few seconds even for a smaller loop:

best combined with a small velco wrap or a cable keeper like so: https://assets.bigcartel.com/product_images/248731547/20DF9770-0E46-403C-A620-10962F3F05F9.jpeg
or leave a shirt clip attached to the cable and use that to secure the coil i.e. https://s.yimg.com/aah/headsetzone/plantronics-06439-20-clothing-clip-3.png

There are also some small round cable keepers you can quickly wrap the cable around.
