What do you guys think? Before you guys burst out laughing, remember that these really aren't that bad, especially for someone with little access to proper tools. And you can't not think those are beastly headphones

Those are actually pretty awesome. I can't imagine a bottlecap staying in my ear as an earbud though. If you could do a similar design but with a clip-on, you could stuff old drivers from things like Koss clip-ons like that. (I have a pair that are broken but the drivers work fine.)
