You're right 00940, my bad. The cap smoothing does not bring the voltage down to RMS, it outputs closer to peak, at least at light load. Now I must go and digest ramifications... This is good because I am also building a power supply right now.

Here is a very simple method.

Use 317 for +15V and 337 for -15V, total you got 30VDC.
