I'm pretty sure I started using rlpaul on pre-microsoft hotmail, amongst a couple other places... so since about '95 or so. Probably longer.

I drifted away from using handles that had nothing to do with my name/self for a while, but came back to using this one. Easier to remember, and I don't care if people know my name... so long as you don't know my phone number!
