What I'm wondering is how much money you've spent because of Head-Fi. This means that if this message board wasn't here, in all probablity you would not have spent the money.

For me, the total is around $1,200. If it wasn't for Head-Fi, I'd probably be listening to my Beyer DT231 headphones from Headroom out of my Airhead, and using Cambridge Soundworks speakers to listen to my MP3s.

As it is, I've got a MG Head OTL, HD 580 w/clou, Ety 4s' on the way, META42, Koss KC-35, one vintage Sony PCDP, one new slim Sony PCDP, multiple mini-mini cables, Headroom Airbag, Sony SACD Player, Monsoon computer speakers, Outlaw cables, Paradigm speakers (thanks to Lextek, a member who lives by me), NAD intergrated amp, and more tubes than I can believe. And I'm pretty sure that if it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't have any of the above equipment.

So how "sorry" is your wallet??

It is a tough call to determine what I would have spent without head-fi. However, if I had to guess I'd say more than $10,000.

Some people water cool their computers, I water cool my credit cards.

So far, I'm looking at around $400 spent because of here

This includes an Ultrasone HFI-650, a META42 amp (w/ mini cable from JMT), and a Sony D-33. And I'm working on getting a new home source, which'll probably be $150-$200. And I'd like to get some some Grados or Senns in the future (HD-580 or SR-225 probably). Another $150-$200 there...so...yikes!

Wow, we have some big spenders here.

Would a mod add the folowing options: $2,500-5000, $5,001 -10,000, $10,001-20,000, and above $20,000, and clear the previous votes? Thanks.

I'm at around $1500 and counting. That's a lot, but not a lot compared to what I have spent on computer components.

Surprisingly, "Over $2500" is winning. [Or maybe not that surprising .. hmm]

I think I'm at ~$1700 and counting... damn. what the hell happened? I should be using this money for rent... *sigh*
