Kind of an odd question. If you had to place a monetary value that you would be willing to pay for those headphones or something similar, on the basis of better performance = higher price.

Grado SR-60 - $60 - I would pay up to $60 for a pair of Grado SR-60s and call then a good deal.

Koss KSC-50 - $25 - Excellent at $12, unfortunately excellent at $25. Any more and I would want the 35s though.

Sennheiser HD600 - $220 - If I were buying now I would pay no more then $220 for them, knowing the level of performance I get.

Now, I think there is a limit as to how much one might want to spend on headphones, as in if you haveheard the Sony R-10 and would only buy it for $500, or would pay $100 for a pair of KSC-35s since they are so versatile and there was no comprable choice (The KSC-50s not being considered profitable).

Some KLH ones I bought a couple of years ago: $.75 worth of gasoline to get rid of the ******** things.

All of the cheap crappy ones that came with portable players I have had: toss those in the same $.75 bucket of gasoline. Kill two birds with one stone there.

My Sennheiser HD495 paid $100 for em, now I could buy them for like $60. I'd say they are worth $75 to me.

Koss KSC35s: $50

Etymotic ER4P: $300

I paid about $430 for my MDR-CD3000.
Today, I would still pay the same. I had my doubts at the time, but they seem to be worth it.

Used Sony MDR-v6's are worth $102.50 to this guy.

Your brain on EBay...

Grado 225: paid $130 used. Worth about that.
KSC-50: Paid $20. After heavy modification, worth $30.
Sony EX-70: paid $50. After heavy modifictation, worth $15. Worst value in headphones.

Grado HP-2
worth = Priceless

Having the HP-1s with the reference cord, (makes them sound exactly like HP-2s) I have to agree completely. There are VERY few things in this world I feel are worth more than pure musical enjoyment.
