Inspired by scompton's comment elsewhere that he has 2200 albums in his library.

I've got 3502 songs in my iTunes Library. That's 20.62 GB. It'll play for 10.3 days. My excuse is that I'm still young, and I've not inherited anyone's music collection. So, how many songs (or albums if that's easier to count) do you have in your digital music library? Sorry CD/record player purists...make your own thread.

72443 tracks taking up 453.55 GB and 215.3 days of playing. Should be enough to keep me occupied for a little while.

Hmm - 34701 tracks of that is classical for 103.5 days listening and 218.29 GB of disk space. I thought my classical was higher than that!

Haha, I guess I'm kind of a baby in this category. My iTunes library consists of 1965 songs. So under 2000. Would take 5.4 days to play and is 14.53 GB on my hdd.

It's a little weird though because I restarted with my new computer on Christmas day last year, though I didn't really start adding many tracks until January. Now I have quite a few songs I am not familiar with but am also missing quite a few that used to be favorites back in the day (by which I mean the past 4 years or so).

I have around 100 albums, but I haven't branched out as much as I'd like to. For example I have six Pink Floyd albums and five Metallica albums. I have almost ten from Iron Maiden. With that in mind you can see I'm really pretty narrowminded, though I try not to be. The problem is I'm... weird

If most people who like band A also like band B, I may thoroughly hate band B. For this reason I have to take recommendations with a grain of salt, even if they're good ones. Also, Pandora doesn't do much for me, while other people feel it's magic.

I'm pretty new too. Most of this I've collected in the last year:

5449, 15.7 days, 38.01 GB

I subscribe to eMusic (100 tracks per month) and that's all I can handle. I only listen to music a couple of hours per day. It's really time consuming finding good music.
