I'm starting to get too many DAPs again, and am feeling a little guilty...how many do you own? I am also looking for a cheaper companion for the AK380 Copper any suggestions? I'm eyeing WM1A/WM1Z so far...

Currently:
1 Astell Kern AK380 Copper
2 Lotoo Paw Gold Diane Edition
3 Hidizs AP80
4 Zishan Z3/Z1
5 Walnut 2VS/Walnut F1-Walnut Stack
6 Walnut 2V

Own 3 (AK240, Shanling M0 and Hiby R6)

Looking for another one since the R6 kinda bricked itself and needs to be sent back to factory.

So I’m looking for another DAP as well. Looking at the Fiio M11 and DX220 which you’ve owned.

What made you sell the DX220 btw?

Constantly buying and selling.
Own: astell kern sp1000 ss, ibasso dx200 and dx220, colorfly u8, fiio x3ii, x5ii, ibasso dx50, xuelin, Cayin n5ii, chord mojo, Sony pha-3
Sold: ibasso dx200,150,90, hiby R3, r6, r6 pro, lotoo paw gold touch, fiio x5iii, opus 1, astell kern se100, fiio q5, shanling m0

Some more stuff needs to go. Sp1000 is my keeper though. Nothing I've tried sounds better

And now I'm thinking that as I like ak sound so much that I should get a ak380 for work

"just" got the R6 and m0. R6 would be fine if wifi wasn't so irritating and m0 would be fine (more than fine) if it included bookmarks or resume function :frowning2:

Didn’t care for the sound. It’s great bang for the buck, but not TOTL imho.

I have a dx220 too but I might sell it. I always use my ak sp1000. I think I just prefer astell and kern sound to other daps. I did own the lotoo paw gold touch too but sold it one I heard the ak.
I'm considering getting an ak240 or ak380 for travel and work.

I have Astell Kern ak380, Ibasso DX200, Acoustic research ar-m2 and Calyx M. I am thinking on selling the ak380 and I am interested in buying the Dethonray Dt1r Prelude. Also I am waiting on Ibasso to release the Amp 9. I had and sold Hifiman hm700, Fiio x5, Fiio x5 mark 3, Fiio x7 mark 2, Shanling m5 and Questyle qp1r. I am not going to recommend a player because every person has different preferences and needs

Currently have 4. Been working my way up the line cost wise.

1. Sony NWZ-F806 - don't really use it anymore as the interface is slow and it has the proprietary Sony connector/cable which I can never find when I need it.
2. Shanling M0 - great for when I want an ultra-small form factor DAP.
3. Shanling M2X - Has been my go-to DAP since I got it for it's smooth interface and great sound.
4. FiiO M11 - just got this recently and loving it so far. Will most likely be my primary DAP from now on.

I am only owning the Pono Player.

AR - M2 (really liked it, but not for IEMs)

Shanling M5s (returned)

Fiio X7ii (hated the Sound)

Sony NW-ZX300 ( dull and bassy)

A&K KANN (boring sounding)

I think the most important thing is the synergy with the headphones. Acoustic research ar-m2 sound incredible with Jh Roxanne performance series. Calyx M matches great with Noble audio k10

See my sig.

Not listed is a Sony MDR minidisc player, iPod 160GB Classic, iPod U2 Edition, Zune 80 & HD. All still used to some capacity. I like having options and just rotate everything depending on mood and arms-length availability.
