OMG, you have more DVD's than you have CD's? You are truly insane. Quote:

Oh yeah, in a year and a half of collecting them I've amassed perhaps 20 SACD's

So...most of them?

I don't get it.. u guys can spend enough money on cd's to buy a car, and u can't buy speakers

but I've always wished that stores would actually let you choose which songs you want to buy, and they will burn you the cd on a high-speed burner instead of buying cd's that only contain a few songs you actually like...

35 live boot cd's

300+ albums (a lot were sold years ago) and I've had no means to play them in more than a decade anyway

Well I doubt anyone here has purchased all the cd's in one outting. Dropping that cash on speakers is a one day deal unless you get store financing or credit card. And if you go either of those ways...you pay through the nose in interest and with store financing...have to pay it all off usually in 1-5 years.

I have 1400 or so CD's...40 CDR's...5000 mp3 albums...1 lp.

I started buying cd's in 1992. There is no way I could at the age of 15, dropped 20k on speakers

Close to 60 cds now.
I have only recently joined you all.. in true source. All these while I had been listening to mp3s.. 128 and 192 kbps

But to save cost, I got them all 2nd hand ( about 5 dollar per piece)
kekek... even then , I already have little left for my headphone and mp. But I always belive.. what good is the system without cds/music? Like a mers without petrol!! lolboth must be equally distributed.

crxy_sasquatch: I think most the people who own headphone systems own speakers also. I would like to thank this thread for making me get off my ass and hang my cd holders and get my music out of the boxes and on the wall were it belongs. My exact count is 1307 cd's and 22 cdr's.

Part A: Sad, isn't it? But I have less than $3K in those 500lps spread out over 20+ years. The 300CDs are about the same over 15 years.

Part B: Apple has that service available now for $.99 per song. The way I understand it, you are downloading uncompressed songs (not mp3s) and the software will let you burn up a few copies of it (one for the house, one for the car, etc.) Been hearing talk about it on NPR this morning.
