I have my HD650s or SR80s on full extension.
Back in my motorcycling days I was an XXL - whatever that is in cms.
Mind you, back in those days I had bigger hair than Brian May (Queen guitarist)

Well i wear my HD 580s fully extended, and sometimes that feels a little small.

Hmm, how do I tell? Haven't needed anything hatlike in... ages or so. I'm wearing my HD590s almost fully extended, but that doesn't mean all that much. For HD535s, it's a middle setting.
Ah, now I can measure it. 3 clicks each way on my 650's.

Hat size is 7 1/4, but I have a high-rise dome. Usually have heaphones close to full extension because I like to wear circumaurals low and forward as suggested by on the Jan Meier site.

lol...or "low" ears.
As for those that have mentioned the hair issue: I'm a member of Team Shaved Melon, so I have no idea what you're talkin' 'bout.

I must suffer from tiny head syndrome, I have my HD650's at zero clicks, the headband is the whole way in. But then again I am a baldie.

7 5/8 here. The K1000s almost don't fit my head.
