I noticed a huge difference just by stepping up from stock interconnects to some DIY cables, then a bigger difference when I upgraded again. I also heard a big difference when comparing the stock cables to the Zu cables for my HD650s, the Mobius was far too bright for me and I had to sell them in a couple of days. As for video cables there is a difference when upgrading those too, we recently switched a cheap $70 AR HDMI cable we were using for our Sony HDTV and upgraded to a $300 Monster M1000DAV and the difference was clear, the picture was much sharper and clearer, the colors also seemed much more vibrant, I doubt that this was all just placebo.

Your picture was more clear cause the 300 dollar monster cable helps clear out the fuzziness and some by ground looping. You can buy something similiar to the monster cable brand and it does the job just as well.....

But he's saying that all high end cables are a useless upgrade. The Kimber cable I mentioned to you is about 5 times more expensive than the Ratshack one and he said the upgrade would be pointless. The difference between the AR cable we had and the Monster cable we have one our main HDTV now is about five times as well, actually less than that, and there was a huge difference in picture quality. All Monster HDMI cables aren't similar either, my father's friend had one of the cheapy Monster ones from Best Buy than upgraded to the same one we have (On my father's advice) and he said he saw the same difference in picture clarity as well.
