How good are IEM's?

IEM s can't compete with full size headphones only in the soundstage department and also the physical feeling of the bass impact from a big planar for example, in all other aspects they can compete, they are small, eazy to drive and are higher value in my opinion (you can get better sound for less money compared to full size headphones)

Fully agree. I listen to planars (MrSpeakers Aeon C Flow) and the 6 BA Earsonics S-EM6 V2 in parallel, and I cannot say which one is superior.
They both are very detailed and close to neutral tonality, and even the width of a soundstage I think is similar since Aeon is closed but Aeon goes deeper, the bass has more impact in Aeon.
Other than that…And I use the same source for both
