I typically wear mine over the ears and under my chin for longer, more critical listening sessions and straight down for short periods.

over the ear, down the back 99.9% of the time.  It's the most comfortable for me.  Down the front and under my chin feels "wrong" to me.  I guess I got used to using them for stage work and haven't gone any other way since.

Guess I'm more the odd man out than I thought, because I've always worn them over my ears and down my back and never had a problem with the cable, just lucky I guess

I wear mine over the ear and down the front. It feels weird when I wear them down my back and when I pull out my DAP to change music or something, it limits how far I can move it by a bit.

over ears and down back...it's easier to take them out and let them 'dangle' that way if you need to converse with anyone for any length of time..

UM3X: Only used over the ear. However I do let them hang down in front of me like most IEMs. No microphonics and it just feels right.

tried down the back a while ago but didnt like the changing cable tug pressure in the junction where my ear joins my head.
 
maybe i just move my head alot,....

The Eternas are my first over-the-ear IEMs, and I'm still not 100 % used to that. I do wear the cable down the front though. It's just too much of a hassle the other way, considering I usually only use them on the way to and from work.
