I found this perfect size 5x4x2 1/2 hard top zippered case that has 2 layers inside and is perfect for my storing my amp, iPod touch, as well as 2 pairs of phones. And the best part about this is it came with a keychain, as well as 3 sock like things for iPods and phones type of cover. All this for $4.00. And most similar sized cases are about $20 in the gps cases area at best buy.
What I just explained was $4.00 at bestbuy locally made by Hurley clothing brand in a little brown box and over by cases and gps and headphones n car audio corner. Great deal. I can load a pic if u want
I have separate hard-shell cases for my IEMs and my DAP/amp combo.
It takes about 30 seconds or so to put everything away, but once it is, I can toss both cases in my bag and not have to worry about anything getting damaged.
For day to day transportation, I use a small zippered case for sunglasses or reading glasses. It will fit my earbuds or IEMs plus a Nano or Clip. If I travel, I use a hard case designed for the Apple Nike walking hardware that protects everything.
My RE0 goes into a Sennheiser MX560 leather pouch. Zune cable and E5 USB cable goes into an old velour Zune pouch. Zune 30gb (with E5 amp rubber-banded on) and the 2 pouches go into a soft small camera pouch.
Sansa Fuze and Sennheiser MX760, in it's leather pouch, both go into another smaller camera pouch.
Pocket stuffing is a great way to be buying new IEM/earbuds every 2-3 months.
Sadly, I might be one of the more headphone-abusive members on the site.
The CX500s go around my neck, but (rarely) if I won't be using them for more than an hour, inside their provided pouch.
My MS1s stay on my neck as well.
The PX100s go in their case.
