My UE-5c's broke almost two years ago, and instead of getting them fixed, I threw them in a drawer and used my old e4c's. I finally got around to fixing them, and they came back from UE today.
I just plugged them into my iPod Classic, and wow...what have I been missing? I always thought that the sound difference between the 5c's and the e4c's wasn't substantial. Couldn't have been more wrong. So much more full, better bass, cleaner, smoother highs, and MUCH better soundstage and isolation. I can't believe I've wasted the past two years...what a mistake.
