40 in my main box

about to buy another 200 drive for the server/media box (less than 2 gig free across the drives

i got me a 10 gig right now. i have to burn something as soon as i download it seems...
but one of these days i'll have 75 more, IF my brother can get it to work on my slow ass computer

60GB on my desktop:
WinXP gets 30GB (7.3 us3ed)
Gentoo gets 30GB (3.1GB used)

30GB on my laptop:
Win98 (for ghosting/backup) gets 1.8GB
Gentoo gets 12GB
WinXP Pro gets 16GB

You gotta use what ya got to its fullest!

I know exacly what you mean. I also need to burn my stuff often. Now I have too much CDR's and I always need to search trough them. It's just such a hassle.

But on the (or rather my) bright side, I 'm planning to upgrade in the near future. And the one thing I really want is unlimited HD space.

12 gig in my notebook
main desktop has an 80 gig barracuda
game box has a 36 gig 15k cheetah
AV rig has an 18 gig 15k cheetah plus four 36 gig 10ks in raid 1
server has 80 gigs plus 120 gigs, both barracudas

Yes, the AV rig also heats my home

Let see....

Main work system: 10Gb on a Toshiba Laptop. 70% full (50% if I take off my Just4Fun directory)
Secondary work system: 37Gb on an IBM pc. 45% full and over 10Gb is in my "Burn" directory for burning archive files

Main home system: 2Gb on an IBM Thinkpad (P133, W95) 60% full

Secondary home system: 3Gb on a P200 in my kids room. Approaching 70% full. Thinking about adding a 6Gb drive to it. (my kids are all under 7)

Garage systems: 4Gb on a P120, 60Mb on a 386SX16. Both of these are DOS systems.

No plans to upgrade except as stated.

Oh, my job? IT Manager for a group of Nephrologists (kidney specialists)
