Home-Made IEMs

I did few updates and modification to my 33&2389 circuit and came up with this result. It will be a onstage CIEM. It’s pretty flat and I can’t tell if it’s good or not, regarding to a ear freq response is it gonna be ok or harsh in the 3k area?
This looks actually worse than before my man. It will be sibilant due to this huge 7k peak
What have you changed?

I would try that setup with the yellow damper and without resistor on the 33 like that. Should working fine:
How do you know that curve looks/sounds good? Or if it’s not too flat?

I got rid of the attenuation on the woofer and set orange damper on it, with smaller diameter tube. Maybe I should better put back the yellow on it?
OK, so you sort of followed my advice, but I'd mentioned that this will actually increase the 6-7k peak and you need to compensate with clever crossover.
You seem to have removed the 10ohm from 3300 but didn't from 2389, that's why your 2389 response went down in SPL compared to 3300. My recommendation is/was to get rid of both resistors cause they don't do much other than introduce unnecessary components into the circuit. If any thing you'd be better off keeping the resistor on 3300 and removing it from 2389 if you are set on having resistor in series to any of the speakers
But well you know... it's my opinion and how I would go about tuning something like this, you might want/like something else. As long as you have fun with it and enjoy the process (and sound) I think that's more important than having the best in the world IEM at your first build.

Also, we havent really discussed tube lengths and damper placement. Youd probably start at like 15mm for both drivers then trim and test with each cut to get get what youre looking for. Also, and this is my opinion, id look at using something like a 2.2, 3.3, or 4.7uf capacitor. 10uf opens up the full range of the 2389 too much for me.

Thank you. I did a little mistake, it was 33 with 47 ohm resistor, not 10ohm like on the picture. I was looking for a little bit of lowend enhancement in this setup and I was hoping of getting that lowend little pushed without the resistor but I can see that this 6k like to show up as well. And yes, I am really enjoying that process:) I need to force myself for some rest cause experimenting seems to be so much fun here:) I had the 4,7uf cap but I can’t remember why I changed it in this setup:) I’ll do some building today…

Do you have any freq response of that setup build by yourself? I would love to see/hear your point of view (if that makes sense)

I tried 38d1 on this instead of 33 . I think it worked fine , even though I didn’t apply l pad on it . Some how with l pad it get really quiet . I don’t hear that crisp i need for my snare or that punchy bass . (And voice sounds weak as well. I use yellow damper for bass . And cant decide green or white for my ed ?:frowning2:
And may be ill try 20 ohm resister on bass as well .
