when i plug my ath ck10 into a turned on samsung mp3 player (without playing a music) a noticebly small hissing noise occurs, but when i plug my ck10 into my iphone there are no hissing noise.

does this mean samsung mp3 player has a strong power source which produces the small hissing noise?

don't know about the battery but a common source of hissing is the amplifier's floor noise, which is always present. high sensitivity IEMs (I'm guessing the CK10 is one) will reveal the floor noise much more than low sensitivity ones. I also heard something about noise being present if the amplifier has to output less than its optimum range, but that could be linked to sensitivity.
