im looking for the best headphones for hiphop under $400. i'm not a basshead so im just looking for accurate bass. i dont mind if there IEMs or full size cans, im looking for the best sound i can get for $400.

i know that i will probably need an amp to make these headphones shine. whats a good quality headphone amp? (also i have the hrt ms2 dac) i was looking at the fiio e10.

thanks

You might need to describe your preferences and usage more... There's a lot more that opens up if they're only for home use.
Maybe the denon d5000. (it's a little over 400 with the EE open box specials)

i did the same thing, call j&r and tell them that you are a member of headfi, and they will give you the headphone for $215 (shipping included) and get the Fiio e11, which is $65 with the extra battery pack and for $280 you have a great set up!! good luck!!

What $210. I wish we europeans would get anywhere the same treatment in terms of headphone pricing.

if i can get the denon d2000 for 210 shipped i might as well go for that. but im really looking for sound quality and dont mind paying $400, so could i get something better for the money? or will the increase in sound quality not justify the increase in price over the d2k?

I don't think spending more $ will help you here. You can get the d5k for $400 open box. It's twice the money but not twice the sound. The wooden cups are nice though :)

The rest you can spend for quality AMPs/DAC like iBasso T5, D7, E17+E9.
